Madonna can breath a little easier these days as she
is to be granted full custody of the little boy that she has been trying to adopt from Malawi for some time now, David. In his glowing report, the social worker who visited Madonna, described the famous singer as "the perfect mum for David" and " a confident and able parent".
The social worker, Simon Chisale, also cited in his report that Madonna's husband, Guy Richie, has formed a strong bond of "warm, playful interaction," with little David. David's biological father, Yohane Banda, still in Malawi, says that he is glad that the controversial adoption is finally nearing completion. He wants what is best for his son, and stated "I know she means well for him."
It is reported that another family visit will take place some time in February, and the full adoption could take around eighteen months to complete, but I am sure that Madonna and the rest of her family are breathing just a tad bit easier these days knowing that they will be granted full custody of David.
And as a side note,it would appear as though Madonna is looking for a little girl to adopt. It's been
said that she actually dispatched team to scour Malawi, looking for a sister for David. While the idea of dispatching a team to find her child could be far fetched and a twist set in motion by the media the idea of wanting a little sister for David, is not, especially since she already has had two attempts at adopting a little girl after bringing home David in 2006, fall through, both times due to the extended family of the child objecting to, and blocking the adoption.
There are some
rumors floating about, however, that she has nixed the idea of adopting from Malawi again, altogether, and is instead turning her head towards Cambodia after being impressed by Angelina Jolie's adoption of her son, Maddox. Madonna has been knee deep in red tape ever since she began her adoption journey with David, so perhaps she is ready to look for a different country to deal with?
