Just after Thanksgiving the gossip world was all
abuzz with the news that America's favorite celebrity mom, was planning on adopting two children from China. It was reported that the pop star, who recently lost custody of her two young boys, to their father, Kevin Federline, had decided to adopt 6 year old twin girls, and began the process to do so with an adoption agency. Yet the plot, as always it seems with good old Britney, continues to thicken.
While there were some reports in which readers are told that close friend's of Britney's reveal that she has stated she was in the final stages of paperwork with an adoption agency, other reports claim that Britney never intended to adopt children from China at all, and was unaware of what was going on between the people that work for her and an unnamed adoption agency. There is no word on which adoption agency was helping her, or how the entire international adoption process could not only be done so quickly, but without Britney's involvement at all. Does money truly do that much talking in this world? Hopefully their is not an agency in this country that would allow for such a blatant disregard of the rules and regulations put in place to protect the children that they are trying to find loving homes for and this rumor is nothing more than a rumor that refuses to go die quietly.
One site claims, in a joking manner, that they have gotten to the bottom of the barrel, stating that Britney apparently asked her maid to order some Chinese [food] for the babies, and with English not being her maid's first language, the message was relaid incorrectly to the pop star's personal assistant, somewhere along the lines of 'Miss Britney wants two chinese babies." Which prompted the assistant to contact an adoption agency and begin the process. Sure, it could happen... right?
Gossip is still flying as to if Brit will actually adopt or not. However, with nothing being confirmed by the pop star, along with the
Department of Children and Family Services finally deciding to take a closer look at the celeb mom and her parenting style and ability, asking the courts to unseal several pages initially, and several hundred more after the first seventy pages were released, it is doubtful that their will be any adoptions for Britney anytime soon.
